So, yeah, I should be taking a photograph...

I love the dark stained wood of the dresser in the back-ground. My grandpa, and great uncle and great grand-dads built most of their furniture for lots of years. I have three pieces. One was given to me, about 15 years ago I gave my brother $60 and a replacement piece, and I took my dad's when I moved out. total score.

Chloe was given a little beech rocking chair. My great uncle cut down the wood from a tree planted on one of the farms by his dad and made my baby a rocker.

I love old things, people I've known a long time... and you kiss,

Hey, this reminds me of something completely unrelated.

The family is considering a move to Canuckistan. Where's good to live? Is there a tech-friendly area or city there?

Just wishing you Good Good things for year ahead and stopping to say I'm liking intermittent pictures of you appearing when I peer at my LJ. Not sure what's happened to my posting but it's stuck in a backlog of things I intend to catch up on. I intend it to restart, but am not sure when this will happen.

Unrelatedly, you used to be on my flist like years ago and I really liked you but somehow missed it when you moved (I was on and off livejournal a lot). I've been wondering what happened to you periodically and finally checked. I can't believe you moved to a new journal (YEARS ago, no less) and I didn't get with the program! You were always so nice and had interesting things to say, so...would you like to be my livejournal friend again? Pretty please?
